Controller

We are looking for a controller for one of our exciting operator customers in Stavanger. The primary purpose of the job is to take on the responsibility to support the Company Controlling activities in such a way that the objectives of the Company are met. 

Scope of work

  • Perform cost controlling and reporting against work program, budget and plans
  • Input to corporate quarterly performance review and planning update, annual budgeting and long-term planning process
  • Support the internal investment approval and controlling process in accordance with internal guidelines and procedures
  • Support in the SAP Controlling Release of purchase requisitions process
  • Support bank approval process
  • Various reports/presentations of cost/status to ensure that all relevant functions and disciplines within Company are kept appropriately informed
  • Support ad-hoc requests and general support to the Controlling team

Education and experience

  • Minium 3 years of higher business/accounting education, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in the oil and gas industry within fields of activity
  • SAP Knowledge and experience preferred, both in accounting and controlling
  • Understanding of the upstream value chain

Skills and qualification

  • Sound knowledge of financial metrics, Oil & Gas value chain
  • Business partner mind-set, support the operational functions
  • FInancial understanding of JV Accounting, time writing, cost recovery and recharge process
  • Ability to work both in teams and individually
  • Pro-active, strongly analytical and sytematic mindset
  • Precision to detail
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Verbal Norwegian is also preferred, but not a requirement
