On behalf of a solid client we are now looking for a HSEQ Lead & Operational Safety Leader (OSL) for an exciting engagement. The right candidate has relevant education and experience, as well as having good communication and cooperation skills.
General responsibilities
- Contribute to defining the project’s HSE objectives and improving the HSE performance.
- Ensure a project HSEQ management system is established in accordance with legislation and internal requirements.
- Update and maintain the project’s register in accordance with the Project Schedule and Authority requirements.
- Be the project’s “Authority Coordinator” and prepare all applications and all reporting to Authorities.
- Attend status meetings with Norwegian Authorities (HAVTIL, MDIR etc) to align on project status.
- Ensure HSEQ reporting is completed as required both internally and externally.
- Provide input to the Project’s monthly reports on HSEQ issues.
- Review all HSE documents prepared by the Company.
- Follow up contractors (HSEQ plans, HAZIDs, procedures) and ensure compliance with Authority requirements and Company’s HSE policy.
- Assess the need for and lead audits of contractors to ensure compliance with legislation and internal requirements.
- Provide support to the preparation of contract documents for execution contracts.
- Contribute to contracts’ technical pre-qualifications and evaluations.
- Follow up risks and proactively contribute to the identification and implementation of opportunities for reduced HSE impact.
- Provide HSEQ input to internal reviews and partner reviews before decision gates.
- Provide HSEQ guidance to project team and ensure everyone has continuous and high focus on HSE.
- Assist in update of operational procedures and Emergency preparedness system and documents.
Specifically for the PP&A Operations and OSL role
- Promote HSE culture in the project team and at contractors (minimum in kick-off meetings and AWOP/DWOP)
- Complete required OSL training according to Company Rules.
- Ensure that all operations are prepared, organized, and conducted in compliance with the company rules
- Verify Rig Intake reports.
- Ensure the project team and contract personnel receive required training compliant with company requirements.
- Prepare the Emergency Preparedness bridging document between rig owner
- Establish and train the emergency response team (3rd line)
- Attend all morning meetings with rig
- Be responsible for reporting activities, in compliance with company rules.
- Ensure internal reporting and recording of Incidents, near misses and deviations in the software tool Synergi.
- Participate in the preparation of End of Well Report.
- Ensure an effective liaison with the other technical disciplines in project and with the HSE coordination team at the headquarters on all HSE issues concerning operational activities.
HSEQ support Non-operated assets
- Provide HSEQ support to non-operated assets during less busy project periods
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree with minimum 10 years relevant business experience (projects, wells, facilities, decommissioning).
- Extensive experience within HSEQ and good multidiscipline understanding.
- Knowledge about or experience from D&W operations.
- Knowledge about Norwegian Authority regulations is required.
- Broad experience of liaison with contractors.
- Offshore work experience is an advantage.
- Basic safety and emergency preparedness training and valid offshore certificate is preferred.
Personal Qualifications
- Good cooperation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle exposure to senior management and liaises confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Norwegian language skills are preferred.
