On behalf of a solid client we are now looking for a Planner / Logistics Analyst. The right candidate has relevant experience and/or education, excellent communication skills, and experience with SAP.
Main tasks and responsibilities :
- Execute the tolling plan by converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders
- Raise and issue POs for third party stocked materials. Record vendor confirmations and coordinate shipments per the long-term supply plan
- Ensure all materials have goods receipt to maintain accurate inventory records
- Be aware of production constraints at the toller. Organize regular meetings with the third party toller planning team and customer service to communicate the weekly and monthly production plans
- Work with suppliers to meet the production and delivery requirements to optimize service, inventory and cost
- Schedule tanks and IBC carriers as required
- Arrange freight against existing logistics contracts and create all necessary shipping documentation
- Ensure all products are goods issued to ensure accurate inventory records
- Providing updates to advise internal and external personnel regarding supplier and open purchase order status exceptions, identify appropriate re-planning and recommend actions
- Review open order report daily to highlight potential issues in customer deliveries
- Monitor site inventory, including conducting regular cycle counts in line with corporate policy
- Manage Excess and Obsolete Inventory to minimize disposal costs. Ensure stock levels are held according to planning guidance
- Provide formal and informal reporting (via KPI) on plant performance
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers & internal teams cross functionally
- Ensure a safe working environment and comply with company safety regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Supply Chain experience or bachelor’s degree
- Experience with common ERP (SAP) systems and MS packages
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
